COLUMBIA, SC Randy Mitchell, Chairman of the Public Service
Commission of South Carolina (PSC) announced today that the PSC
has hired Charles Terreni as the new Chief Clerk/Administrator
for the Commission who will manage the operations of the three
main divisions (Administration, Special Assistants, and
Docketing).
Mr. Terreni holds a Bachelor of Arts and a degree in law from
the University of South Carolina. He has over 10 years
experience as an attorney including matters involving
constitutional issues, legislative re-districting and matters
before the Ethics Commission. He also served as Executive
Assistant and Legal Counsel to then Lt. Governor Bob Peeler from
January 1995 through August 1996. Chairman Mitchell said, We
feel that Mr. Terreni is exceptionally qualified to lead the
Commission through the transition brought about by the recent
passage of Act 175 as it affects the PSC.
Mr. Terreni lives in Columbia with his wife and two children.
The Commission expects him to start his new position around the
first of December.
